Research lines

  • Artificial intelligence

Models that support clinical and teaching decisions: explainable AI to personalise rehabilitation routines, fatigue detection, automatic exercise assessment with computer vision and analysis of teleconsultations with language models.

  • Digital health

Telemedicine and remote physical rehabilitation: personalised exergames for neurological patients and older adults, cloud platforms for therapists, haptic systems for visually impaired people and tools for autistic children.

  • Extended reality

Virtual, augmented and mixed reality: remote medical assistance over 5G, real-time communication with WebRTC and virtual reality shopping. This is where I started, with my PhD on immersive systems for learning to program.
